It is important to provide adequate and constant lubrication to your chainsaw to avoid damage to its key components. We're here to help you refuel your chainsaw using Bushranger's two-stroke oil with fuel stabiliser and the ProKut Bar and Chain Oil. Follow the steps outlined below and in the video to avoid premature wear and damage to the bar and chain.

Preparing your mix

The mix you need will depend on the size of your container and how much work you intend to do. It is important to mix the right amount of fuel to ensure you finish it and can mix new fuel in the future. However, the fuel stabilising properties of modern two-strokes allow you to keep the two-stroke fuel for longer.

To mix the fuel, you must first decide how much you need. For example, 10 litres of chainsaw fuel will require 200ml of two-stroke oil, mixed at 50 to one. That means you'll mix one part of Bushranger two-stroke oil and 50 parts of petrol.

Filling up the compartment

The Bushranger 2-stroke oil container has an easy built-in measuring scale. Make sure to take the cap off this compartment, then squeeze the bottle filling it up to the amount required, which in this example is 100ml. Then add it to your fuel container. As an important safety reminder, always add the two-stroke oil first, before filling it up with fuel after so you don't forget to add the two-stroke oil in.

After you've poured the right amount of 2-stroke oil and fuel into your container, ensure your container is properly sealed and store it in a cool place out of direct sunlight.

Key reminders

Remember that the two-stroke is marked with the fuel symbol via the oil drop, notifying you that it requires oil. On the other end closest to the bar, you should see a chainsaw tooth stamped into the chainsaw, indicating that this is for lubrication. Use the ProKut oil for lubrication. Tipping the saw on the side is the best way to fill it up for both the lubrication and fuel. If you've just finished using the chainsaw, wait five minutes for it to cool down to avoid sparks or an ignition source.

Final steps

Slowly take the cap off in case it's pressurised and pull it off completely. Prepare your fuel container and carefully add the fuel to the chainsaw, ensuring that you don't spill it over the saw. Hold the nozzle into the saw to help avoid spillages. Before starting to use your chainsaw, ensure everything is packed away.

Now that the fuel is done, we now need to add the lubrication oil. To do this, undo the oil cap and place it aside. We can now take the ProKut oil lubrication and pour it into the chainsaw. Again, put the lids on straight away and double-check each time that they are tight. We're now fueled and ready to go!
